Helping others live in light of the gospel

Service Begins at 10:30am

  • We teach the good news directly from the Bible.

At New City, we believe that the entire Bible is ultimately about Jesus. He is the hero of the Bible and the hero of its story as well as ours. Therefore we preach and teach Jesus each week as we preach and teach from the Bible.

  • We sing the good news.

We believe singing is an important act of worship. While we may have different arrangements and melodies from week to week, old favorites and new ones, our commitment to singing the beautiful news of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus never changes.

  • We celebrate the good news through the communion.

We believe the Lord’s Supper is a time when believers come together in remembrance of all that Jesus has done for us. In this time we eat bread, signifying Christ’s body broken for us, and drink the cup, signifying the New Covenant in Christ’s blood (1 Cor 11:23-32).

  • Children are excited to learn about Jesus at New City.

We love children! And our children love New City Church. Children are taught the foundations of our faith in Jesus in a way that is fun and gospel-centered.

  • We serve as Jesus served us.

Serving is a really big deal at New City. Being shaped into the image of Christ means that more and more we should live like he lived. There are plenty of opportunities at New City to serve and be a part of a team!

  • We pray as Jesus taught us.

When we pray, we demonstrate our dependence on God. In the Bible, God instructs us to pray without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17), promises that He hears our prayers (1 John 5:14), offers forgiveness if we pray and turn to Him (2 Chron 7:14), invites us to pray for protection from temptation (Matt 26:41), and promises to give us what we ask (Mark 11:24).

  • We give with a cheerful heart.

We believe all Christians are called to give of their resources to further the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus in our city and to the ends of the earth. This act of giving should never be done out of obligation, but in joyful response to what God has done for us in Christ Jesus (2 Cor 9:6-15).
